Recommendation for a Roof Rack and Transporting 2 Kayaks with a 2004 Chevrolet Impala LS
Question:
This is for a 2004 chevy impala ls. I would like to know if this would handle two kayaks on it? They are ten feet long and 40 to 50 pounds. Thanks.

The maximum weight capacity of the SportRack Roof Rack # SR1002 is 130lbs. You will be limited by the lowest rated item, which may be how much weight your roof can handle, I would consult your owners manual to see if there are any restrictions.
I recommend the Yakima JayLow, part # Y04073, because its light weight and will accommodate square bars without weighing your already loaded rack down. This kit comes with the straps you will need to secure your one kayak to the Impala. For a second set use part # Y04031.
