Troubleshooting P3 Brake Controller that Locks Up at Low Speeds
Question:
Hi, on my Prodigy P3, I am towing a 7x15 enclosed trailer. I have it on B1. My problem is at low speeds. When i am like 15 mph, and I gently brake, the rear tires are looking up. Fine at higher speeds. I changed the boost setting from 6.0 to 5.5 to 5.0 an am having the same problem. Suggestions?

The first thing I would check is to make sure the controller is orientated properly. Since it is a proportional controller it has to be positioned properly otherwise it will not sense braking correctly and might perform strangely.
I attached a couple pictures that show how the controller needs to be positioned in order for it to function properly.
You would want to set the max braking power for the controller to be right before tire lockup as well.
With the P3 you set the power to 6 with no boost, drive the vehicle and trailer on a flat surface at 25 mph, then fully apply the manual override. Adjust the power as needed to reach a point just before wheel lock up.
