Can I Use a Sway Control System on a Vehicle that Cannot Use Weight Distribution
Question:
I have a Honda Ridgeline and want to two a 4000 lb trailer. Honda recomends against a weight distribution system. Can I use the sway control alone? If so hwo do I hook the sway bar to the a regular hitch?

Expert Reply:
You can use a friction sway control like part # 83660. You would not be able to to use a dual-cam sway control system as they require a weight distribution system to function.
In addition to a sway control bar, you will need a ball mount plate, part # RP26003, to provide a place for the sway control ball.
