Question:

I purchase a wire harness couple of months ago and connected it for trailer lights ,,, actrually worked for a couple of times we had a pop up trailer hooked up. now I keep blowing brake light fuse every couple of days.... I unplugged the wire set and now I need to see if it keeps blowing out. I checked the wire s ,what I can see , no wire coating rubbed threw, like I said now I just have to see if it keeps blowing a fuse without that plugged in and if it dont , is there any chance of you replacing the wire set . thanks lonnie

Somewhere in the trailer wiring, there's a short circuit that's causing the fuse to be blown. Closely examine the trailer connector on the vehicle and on the trailer, making sure there's not any corrosion or damage. Since it's the brake lamp fuse, you can concentrate on the yellow and green wires on the trailer, which carry the left turn/brake lamp and right turn/brake lamp. Trace the wiring back to the taillight assemblies. All it'll take is one little nick in the wire to allow the copper wire to ground out on the trailer frame. Also, check the light bulbs in the taillight assemblies. If the bulb sockets are corroded, it can also cause a short circuit.

The T-connectors are covered by a 1 year warranty, but you need to make sure it's the T-connector that's faulty, and not a trailer wiring problem. If it is a wiring problem, a new T-connector won't fix anything.
