Curt Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 600 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

Hi, Im looking at C17322 Curt Weight /Sway system. Will it work for a tongue weight ~600lbs, will it allow backing up without disconnections, and finally, my frame rails are 1.5inch wide by 4inch tall, will it work with these or can I shim them to work. Thanks!

For a tongue weight of 600 lbs the Curt WD System part # C17341 would be a better option. This system has a tongue weight max of 800 lbs so it would be a better fitting system.

For a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball you would then want the part # A-6.

The part # C17322 would technically work, but since it is rated a bit too high you would end up with a harsher ride quality than the # C17341.

Both systems will allow backing up. You could weld on a 1/2 inch spacer to your trailer and the frame brackets would mount just fine.
