Using Tail Light Converter To Attach Bike Rack With Euro Wiring On 2015 Honda CR-V With 4-Way

Question:

Could I use this in reverse? I have a euro bike rack with tail lights with a separate Amber tail lights. If I use this part to connect to my US 2015 Honda CR-V which has a 4 pin flat connection would it work? Cheers

The # 118710 adapter you asked about cannot be reversed because the 7-way round European plug is for plugging into a European plug on a vehicle, and the 4-way is the female plug for a trailer to plug into, but we do have a solution.

I have attached a drawing that shows how you can wire the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter, part # 118158 on your trailer. If you intend to keep the Euro plug on your bike rack you can splice into the wires behind the Euro plug on the bike rack that have the functions shown in the diagram. If you are not planning on using the Euro plug on the bike rack, you can cut it off and splice into the output side of the 118158. On the input side of the 118158 you can install a 4-way connector like part # HM48110.
