Can I Use The Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags From My Tundra On My 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Question:
Hello, I have the set of Firestone Ride Rite airbag kit I removed from my 2006 Toyota Tundra 4wd doublecab before selling it and would be interested in seeing if I could purchase the brackets to move them to my 2013 Chevrolet 2500 HD 4wd crewcab. The airbags are ~1 year old and were removed to undercoat the truck due to a recall by Toyota just before trading the truck in, so they are in great condition. I am interested in the whether or not I could purchase the brackets to fit the new truck for use with the existing airbags. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

We have a Ride-Rite system for you, but based on my research, the Firestone Ride-Rite for the 2006 Toyota Tundra 4WD is # F2245 while the Ride-Rite system for your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4WD is # F2709. These two system use different air bags, so I do not recommend installing the existing airbags on your Silverado.
The best solution is to install an entire new kit # F2709 on your 2013 Silverado 2500. This will ensure you have all the necessary parts for installation and that the airbags will function properly for your vehicle.
