Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter Recommendation for Truck with CM Flatbed
Question:
will this adapter work on a CM flatbed with ball under a trapdoor ball is recessed 3 3/4 inches top of ball is 1/4 lower than bed level, trying to get as much offset I can get by using a gooseneck adapter only worry I have is offset might hit top of bed if I encounter uneven ground

On the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter, # CAB-C5GX1216 the offset is 7-1/2 inches. You would need to measure from the center of the gooseneck hitch ball out 7-1/2 inches in all directions and as long as the recessed opening has more clearance than that in all directions this adapter would fit.
You might have to go with the non-offset part # CAB-C5G instead as it would clear much easier.
