Availability of 7-Way Extension for Trailer Towed By 2015 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
My 2015 4runner has the 7-pole connector located under the vehicle about 12inch forward of the bumper, so that my trailer wiring harness pulls out wont stay plugged in especially with right turns. So Im looking for an extension cord with a male and a female connector. Thanks for your help.

The most cost effective solution to the problem you're experiencing would be to use the Draw-Tite 7-way loop, part # 20027. There is a 24 inch option, part # TLW6021, but it costs twice as much. I'd use the longer 20027 and simply zip tie up the excess wire so it's out of the way.
The relocated 7-way could be attached to the trailer hitch using a # C57202 no drill bracket along with a # PK12711U trailer connector bracket.
Another option would involve installing a longer trailer connector on your trailer. The Hopkins # H20046 is 8 feet long, but other lengths are available as you can see by clicking the provided link. A junction box like part # 38656 provides a convenient and weatherproof place to wire the trailer connector to the trailer wiring. Keep in mind that the # H20046 wires are color coded differently than what you'd usually find. The product page has a chart that explains the color code. Ring terminals like part # DW05702-1 would come in handy.
