Is Fascia Trimming Required to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid

Question:

Will this hitch #36540 fit a 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited? If it does, will the black plastic trim located below the bumper need to be trimmed or cut?

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36540 fits all models of the 2015 Toyota Avalon including your hybrid. There is an underbody panel (not visible) that will have to be trimmed or removed to complete the hitch installation. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.

Toyota does not have towing capacity information for hybrid models and may say outright that you cannot tow with he vehicle.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
