Curt Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
The recommended Curt 2inch hitch for the 2015 Outback is Code: 13390. However, even though the actual body/chassis is the same for the 2016 Outback, your store recommends code: C13206 for the 2016 Outback. Why? Whats the difference? Can I migrate the code 13390 hitch from a 2015 Outback to a 2016 Outback that I have just purchased? I look at the provided photos for both Curt hitches and they appear to be the same..... Whats up with this???

I checked with Curt and for the 2015 and 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon they recommend the # C13206.
The # 13390 that you have is essentially the same hitch with a few different vehicles listed as fits as well. You should have no problem installing the hitch on your 2016 Subaru Outback, but you will need new hardware since the hitch hardware is considered one time use. For new hardware you would want the part # RHK.
