Can the Thule Interstate Cargo Bag Install on a 2008 Volvo XC70 with Side Rails Only

My volvo xc70 has SIDE bars, but not Cross bars. How do I attach this cargo bag? Thanks

You could attach the Thule Interstate Roof Rack Cargo Bag, # TH869, using the straps and the side rails on your Volvo, but the bag will still be able to slide back and forth on the roof. If the bag were to contain heavy, rigid items, it could damage your roof.
You could install crossbars to your roof. You would need Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401, 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420, as well as locks # TH450400. The bag could then be mounted as intended and it will not be able to slide back and forth on the roof.
