Will the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Fit the Factory Crossbars on my 2004 Pontiac Vibe

Question:

I just want to make sure that this box will fit my car. I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe. It has the factory rack that runs parallel with the vehicle plus the two the run cross ways, they are able to be moved around. They are not raised up and perfectly round like the ones in the picture on your site, they are more of an oval shape. Let me know if I will have anything to worry about. Thanks.

I do have an option that will work for you, however, Yakima does not have a cargo box that will fit the factory roof rack on your 2004 Pontiac Vibe.

Instead, I recommend looking at the Thule Pulse Cargo Box, # TH614. This cargo box is similar in size to the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14, # Y07192, that you referenced and it will fit on the factory crossbars. According to Thule, this cargo box may hinder your ability to completely open the rear hatch when it is installed.

If you would like a cargo box that will allow you to completely open your rear hatch, then you will want to look at the Thule Sidekick Cargo Box, # TH78GC. This cargo box is smaller, at 8 cu-ft, but it will give you full access to your rear cargo area.

I have attached demonstration videos of both Thule cargo boxes for you to check out. You will notice that the vehicles in the video are different from your Vibe, but they should give you an idea about how they install.
