Trailer Hitch for 2016 Honda Pilot

Question:

I just bought a 2016 Honda Pilot. I noticed that the factory hitch fits nicely into the bumper however the Curt hitch sits below the bumper. Is there another option that would be more like the Honda Factory hitch? Side note: there is a cutout on the Pilot for the hitch / wiring connection. Thanks!

The hitches we offer from Curt and etrailer would all have receiver openings that are visible below the rear bumper fascia of your Pilot. On the plus side, most of the hitch would not be visible from the rear, but unfortunately, none of them would utilize the knock out in the back bumper.

I've linked you to a video comparing the different hitches available for your Pilot. Of the available choices, I'd recommend the Curt # C13146 because quality and capacity wise it's comparable with the other hitches but it's a bit less expensive.

If you plan on using the vehicle for towing purposes, you'd need the following parts to complete your towing system:

Trailer wiring harness, part # 118760
Ball mount, part # AMSC2
1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball
Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
