Adjusting Tekonsha Primus TK90160 Brake Controller That's Making Trailer Brakes Lock Up

When i apply the brake the caravan locks up how can i adjust the controller to stop this happening

The first thing you'll want to do is make sure the controller is installed so that it is in the proper operating orientation. The controller needs to be pointed parallel to the direction of travel, on a level plane side to side. On a front to back axis, it needs to be between level and 70 degrees above level, as shown in the diagram I've provided.

Secondly, make sure the controller's been properly adjusted. Just to the left of the LED display, is the wheel that controls how much voltage the controller outputs to the trailer brakes. When towing a particular trailer for the first time, it's recommended to do some low-speed test runs as outlined in the Primus brake controller instructions, to get the controller properly adjusted.
