Trailer Hitch for 1995 Toyota 4Runner and Motorcycle Rack for a 2007 Husqavarna TE610 Dirt Bike

Question:

I have a 1995 Toyota 4Runner 4 Dr SR5 V6 4WD SUV 5 speed It currently has no trailer hitch or mount. I want to get a hitch mount and a hitch carrier to carry a 2007 HUSQ te610 it weighs under 350lb. 1. Can you recommend the right hitch and carrier for this type bike? 2. Do you know what tongue weight a 95 4runner can support and could I put a double carrier on my truck safely? thanks

The available trailer hitch for your 1995 Toyota 4Runner, is Draw-Tite hitch, # 75145. This is a Class III hitch with 500 pounds tongue weight capacity and 5,000 pounds gross trailer weight capacity. To find the towing and tongue weight capacities of your 4Runner, consult the owner's manual. I have included a link to the installation details below.

For your 2007 Husqavarna TE610, you could use the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp , # UF48-979033. The carrier measures 15-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest edge of the carrier. It will most likely clear the rear bumper, but if you have a spare tire mounted on the back of your 4Runner, it may need to be removed to use the carrier.

I recommend adding some Tie-Down Motorcycle Assist Straps, # 06303, and Soft Tie TCS Motorcycle and ATV Tie Downs, # EM05729, to secure the bike to the rack.
