Is There A Way To Connect A 4-way Flat With Separate Brake Wire To a 7-way Trailer Connector

Question:

I have a 2011 Expedition w/ Hopkins 37185 adapter. Id like to hook up a double axle trailer w/ electric brakes, which has a flat 4 wire plug for lights, and a separate wire for the brakes. Do you have an adapter which would allow me to combine all 5 trailer wires into a plug-in to fit the Hopkins 7 pole? Thanks

I have a solution for you, but we do not have an adapter that would work for that set-up. The best solution I can provide for you is to cut the 4-way flat connector off and wire the trailer wiring to a 7-way trailer connector, like # PK12706.

To help you connect the wires to the correct locations, I have attached a wiring diagram for you.
