Will The Ratchet Arm On The Swagman RV Mount 2, # S64663, Fit A Womens Bike With A Low Center Bar
Question:
This rack is exactly what we want, because we need a rack to fit the truck 2004 Silverado and our trailer. However, Im concerned about one thing. My wives bike has a very low center bar. Its about 18-19 off the ground in the middle. She has 700cc wheels. Can the hook on the S64663 ratchet low enough to secure this bike? Thanks!

I looked at the website that showed a picture of the bike your wife has, it looks like if you use the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter, # 64005, on the bike then it will fit on the Swagman RV Mount 2, # S64663. The bike frame adapter does have a capacity of 35 lbs. so you will want to make sure the bike weighs less than 35 lbs.
The bike frame adapter will attach to the center seat post and to the handlebar post on the bike. It will give the bike a level bar for the hook on the bike rack to attach to. In your case it will also give you a higher center bar on the bike.
The bike frame adapter is easy to get on and off so you might also look at the Cable Lock, # e98891, to lock the bike to the rack.
