Trailer Hitch for a Bike Rack on a 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Ill looking for a hitch to attach a Yakima SwingDaddy to my 2014 Outback. Im considering the Draw-Tite, but not sure if it offers enough clearance for this bike rack. I also looked at the two Curt hitches, and am wondering what the difference is between them?

First, the difference between Curt trailer hitches # C13206 and # 13390 is what vehicles each fits. Both will fit your 2014 Subaru Outback but each can also fit other vehicles so in terms of fitting your vehicle there isn't much difference between them.
I would not recommend either one though because Curt requires a stabilization strap # 18050 when using either hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier per their warranty. Draw-Tite does not have this requirement.
The Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75673 measures 4-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper. I have included a link to a video showing the hitch being installed on a 2014 Outback and we show this measurement. The Yakima SwingDaddy measures 6 inches from the center of the pin hole to the nearest part of the rack so it will clear the rear of your Outback by approximately 1-1/2 inches.
