Replacement Lock for SportRack Vista XL Roof Mounted Cargo Box
Question:
i have the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box and i broke the key inside so i drilled out the lock cylinder...do you know what part number i need to replace the lock cylinder and key.....i have no cylinder number ....

Expert Reply:
Do you still have the broken key so the number can be accessed from it? If the number begins with an 'N', then the lock core itself can be replaced if the lock housing hasn't been damaged.
If you no longer have the remains of the key, so the number cannot be accessed or if the lock housing has been damaged, I'm sorry to say that the lock isn't repairable. The same would be true if the key number does NOT begin with an 'N'.
