2015 Volvo XC60 Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation

Question:

Hi! In searching your site for a non-hitch rear bike rack, this model TH45JV came up as appropriate for my 2015 Volvo XC60. However, the car does have a spoiler, and I know you guys recommend against rear mounted racks on cars with spoilers. Any thoughts? Would rather avoid roof racks or getting a hitch installed if possible. Thanks!

We checked with Thule and the OutWay part # TH45JV that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2016 Volvo XC60 that has a spoiler. Typically vehicles with spoilers that are supported decently can have trunk mounted bike racks installed on them.

Thule tested this vehicle and determined that it has a spoiler that is supported enough for the installation of their bike rack.

If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
