Hitch and 4 Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2015 Toyota Camry
Question:
Your website recommended several 4 bike carriers that would work for a 2015 Toyota Camry receiver hitch. Will the hitch capacity support 4 bikes approx. 140 lb? How did you determine the weight capacity of the receiver hitch? Can you send me a link to a Toyota website that I can use to verify the capacity? Is that valid for a 2015 Camry Hybrid as well? Also, apparently the 2015 Prius V and 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid can only support 2 bike carriers. Is that true? Thanks,

Class II and up trailer hitches can carry 4 bikes with a bike rack. For your 2015 Toyota Camry we offer Class II hitches like the part # 36540 which can carry a bike rack designed to fit a 1-1/4 inch hitch. The capacities are for the hitches that their manufacturers determined by extensive testing. The capacities for a vehicle can sometimes be different and you should go by the lower of the two ratings as the overall capacity.
The # 36540 is confirmed to fit all models of the 2015 Toyota Camry so it would also fit a Hybrid model. For this hitch the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR would work well.
The hitches available for the 2015 Prius V and 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid are Class I so they can only fit up to 2 bikes at a time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vmFjSK5ifQ&t=7s This guy is saying a different statement about 1.25 hitch receivers, only 2 bikes are allowed. Please confirm? Thanks. I have the DRAW TITE 36643 installed on my 2019 SE CAMRY single exhaust.
