P3 Brake Controller Showing Trailer Not Connected on a 2004 Dodge Ram
Question:
Just installed a P3 09194 on my 04 Dodge Ram. No trailer code comeS up. Controller sends a signal when activated manually and everything else works. WTF am I doing wrong !!!. Its not the trailer as I have hooked up to three different trailers that work fine with my other trucks. Suggestion more than welcome !

The most common cause of the issue you are describing with the P3 # 90195 is a dirty or corroded trailer connector. Make sure the vehicle and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. The other possible cause is an open circuit on the blue brake output wire.
There are some tests you can do to determine if this is the issue. I have included 2 links on testing and troubleshooting brake controllers for you that cover the testing.
