Question:
I get no power to the 7 point connector. When I first plugged it to my trailer I got lights for about 15 seconds, then no lights. What do i do next?

Sounds like you may have blown some trailer wiring fuses on your 2012 Ford F-150 if everything worked for a few seconds and then stopped. Check under the hood for all of the trailer wiring fuses and replace as necessary.
Before you reconnect the trailer you will want to inspect the wiring of your trailer to see if you can find anything that would cause the box to short out like corrosion or cut/exposed wiring. Fuses don't usually go out unless there is a short on the trailer that takes it out.
