Trailer Hitch for a 1996 Oldsmobile 88 LS

Question:

I am looking for a 2 inch receiver hitch class 3 or 4 that will fit a 1996 Oldsmobile 88 LS. Do you have anything like this or is there an adapter to convert a 3 inch to a 2 inch Thank you

The only trailer hitches available for the 1996 Oldsmobile 88 are Class II trailer hitches which have a 1-1/4 inch receiver. You can use an adapter, such as # HTAD, but doing so will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent.

So for example if you used the adapter on Draw-Tite hitch # 36211 the tongue weight capacity would go from 300 pounds to 150 pounds.

It sounds like you might want to carry something on the hitch and not tow a trailer. If this is the case let me know what it is you want to carry and how much it weighs and I can determine if there are any other options.
