Recommended Ball Mount That Will Work With Shank Mounted Bike Rack
Question:
Trailer Hitch Ball Mount 3/4inch Rise or 2inch Drop Curt Ball Mounts D-4 Is there at least 6 inches between the pin hole and the part of the hitch that holds the ball? I have a bike rack that I need the space for it to fit. The 10 1/4 measurement between holes is the same as the hitch I am replacing. My current hitch was damaged and I am looking for a similar replacement. Thank you!

The Curt Ball Mount, part # D-4 measures 10-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hole for the hitch ball as you mentioned. Since you said you need at least 6 inches, this ball mount would give you more than enough clearance for your bike rack.
This ball mount fits 2 inch receiver openings and uses a hitch ball with a 1 inch shank like part # 40038 for a 2 inch diameter ball or part # C40051 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
If you need a hitch pin and clip I recommend part # C21500. If you want a locking hitch pin I recommend part # e98880.
If your hitch was damaged and needs to be replaced, just let me know the vehicle year, make, and model and I will be happy to make some recommendations that will work for you.
