Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Controller that Stopped Showing Trailer Connection

Question:

I have a 1994 Ford F350 dually, having issues with my trailer brakes. All lights work, signal, brake.the little green led light on the top of the controller is not illuminated any more and of course the trailer brakes no longer function. Obviously I am getting power because of the lights working. Checked all the fuses that I thought were relevent to the problem. Any suggestions which way I shouldpersue from here. Thanking you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Since your Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 isn't showing the green light when you connect your trailer (this light indicates that a trailer is connected), I would be willing to bet that the problem is corrosion on the brake output circuit of the 7-way on either you truck or the trailer.

Take some fine grit sandpaper to the pins of both connectors to clean the connections and the controller should start working again.

I attached a help article that covers troubleshooting brake controllers as well.
