Is Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller and Trailer Brakes Operating Properly
Question:
I recently had electric trailer brake failure and found connection from trailer needed to be replaced so I replaced it and my controller light came and seem to have power at the connection and going to the trailer unable to take for a test drive at this time question with controller light on does this mean my brakes should be working the manual brake part of the controller moves freely with no pressure on it comments please

The manual brake slider switch on your controller is spring loaded. It should snap back into place when the switch is released. If it doesn't, that means the spring is broken and the controller should be replaced. I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. The P2 is easy to use, and is highly rated by our customers.
The LED lamp on the controller should be green with the trailer connected, and should turn red when the brake pedal or manual brake switch is activated with the trailer connected. This indicates that everything's working properly.
