Replacement Cradle Straps for Thule 5-Bike Carrier Look Different than Original Straps
Question:
received straps 753-3535 for what i believe are cradles 853-5829 for my 5 bike Thule....the number on my original strap is 853-5831 and does not have that hard plastic piece underneath the large hole in the strap....did i order the correct straps?

It looks like Thule switched to strap # 753-3535 for many bike racks. The hard plastic piece offers reinforcement so the strap lasts longer. It should not affect the fit. Provided you have a Thule rack that uses straps that install around the arms then these straps will work for you.
