When it comes to a trailer hitch receiver for your 2014 BMW 328d you will need Curt Custom Fit Class I Hitch, # C11367. This hitch offers bolt-on installation and is intended for vehicles with a single muffler.
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 24857, that you mentioned is designed for the 2007 - 2011 BMW 328i so this will not work for your vehicle.
