Clearance Recommendation for Pontoon Boat Guide-Ons
Question:
I just installed smith model 27671 pontoon bunk guides on my trailer. I put one pair at the rear inside and another pair about halfway on inside of the trailer. They are 3inch from the pontoons and 1.5inch clearance between the floor rails. Ive attached a picture. Will that be enough clearance so it dont hit the bottom of the boat when loading and unloading at the dock?

Expert Reply:
You should be just fine with the clearances you listed for the CE Smith Guide-Ons part # CE27600.
3 inches would be great for the horizontal clearance between the guide ons and the pontoons and 1-1/2 inches of vertical clearance would be just fine as well.
