Will Thule Outbound Roof Top Bag Attach to Factory Side to Side Cross Bars on a 2005 Ford Escape

Can we attach this rooftop bag to our 2005 Ford Escape with a factory installed roof rack that has front and back bars but no side bars?

Yes, you will be able to attach the Thule Outbound Expandable Roof Top Bag, # TH868, to the cross bars on your 2005 Ford Escape. The instructions (linked) state that if possible, place the bag between the bars so that it fits snugly between them. It can also ride on top of the bars if needed. The bag attaches to the cross bars using straps that are attached to the bag.
Make sure that you stay within the manufacturer recommended weight capacity for your roof. Check your owners manual for weight capacities. I have included a video review of the Outbound.
