Troubleshooting Trailer Light Malfunctions on a Cargo Trailer Pulled by a 2004 Chevy Venture
Question:
How many lights are to much for a modulite. I have a small cargo trailer. I have had problems with modulites that stop working the way they are suppose to. The trailer has 2 turn stop tail lights. Each light has 1 bulb 2 filaments. Also there are 6 single bulb side lights. I have replaced all the side lights with LED lights just 2 diodes per light. Is there enough power from the modulite to power all the lights? Thanks for your help.

Expert Reply:
If a traditional converter is not enough to power the all of the lights on your trailer (usually if there are too many lights, some of them might rapidly blink or not power on or be very dim), you would need a powered converter like the # C59496, that has a separate connection to the vehicle battery to power the lights.
The power would then come from the battery and not from the vehicle wiring or the converter. That direct connection to the battery is more than enough to power the lights on your trailer. Using a powered Modulite is the best option for a trailer set up like yours.
