Curt trailer hitch # C1193 is listed as a fit for all models of the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse so it will fit your Spyder GST. If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or car go carrier) per their warranty requirements.

If you are planning on some light duty towing then the correct ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring you can use # C56175 to add a 4-Way connector.
