What Should Display on Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 Show When Manual Button Pressed
Question:
When braking, should the display show the amount of braking being applied to the trailer for example like 6.1 or whatever number rather than .c? So the same as when you push the manual button.

A trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 will apply the brakes when you press the manual override lever with the same force as when you press the pedal. This force will be determined by the chosen power level and boost setting. The display message .C indicates that the controller has power, senses a connected trailer but does not have the boost feature engaged. When you engage the boost another dot will appear and you will see .C. When you press the manual lever you should see the selected power level, from 0.0 volts up to 13 volts.
