How Does the Thule Replacement Dual Force Strut Remove/Install

How do I get the old hinges off?

Expert Reply:
The Thule Replacement Dual Force Strut, part # TH14936 is actually just snapped on to a ball socket on the top lid and a ball socket on the bottom of the cargo box. The holes on the end of each lever of the strut will just snap over the ball on the mounting brackets. It does require some pressure to remove and install.
I attached an install video that shows a very similar hinge being installed and replaced.
