Does the BCM Need to be Reprogrammed to Install a Trailer Connector Harness on a 2010 Chevy Equinox

does the BCM need to be reprogramed on this vehicle?i looked on other listings and they say the BCM needs to be reprogramed. please let me know THANKS

I spoke with my contacts at Curt and Tow Ready, who both make wiring harnesses for the 2010 Chevy Equinox. They stated you will NOT have to reprogram the BCM or anything else to install the Curt T-Connector, # 56094, or T-One with Upgraded Circuit Protected Modulite, # 118494.
I recommend the T-One with Upgraded Circuit Protected Modulite, # 118494, as it has a powered Modulite that will help protect your vehicles sensitive wiring. I have included a link to the installation details below. I have also added a video showing the installation of this harness on a 2010 Equinox.
