Are Extra Parts Needed to Carry Womans and Childs Bike on Hollywood Racks Express Trunk Rack # HRE3

Question:

What additional parts do I need to buy to use this on a 2009 Mercedes GL550 SUV - I will be transporting a womens bike with baby seat , a mens mountain bike and a childs bike. Thnx.

Since you mention that you will be carrying a woman's and a child's bike on the Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Trunk Mounted Carrier, # HRE3, I recommend using an adapter bar like the Swagman Easy-Out, # 64005, for these two bikes. This bar attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more evenly in the carrier while providing more ground clearance. A men's bike typically has a horizontal top tube so an adapter bar would not be needed. I have included a couple short videos for you.

As for the baby seat on the back of the woman's bike, you may have to try a couple of different ways of loading to see which works the best. I would start by loading the mountain bike first, then the child's bike, and last the woman's bike with the baby seat. This set-up would give the most amount of clearance for the baby seat.
