My recommendation for a trailer hitch for your 2015 Subaru Forester is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75876. It is a Class lll hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening. It has a towing capacity at 3,500 lbs and a tongue weight of 525 lbs.

I prefer the Draw-Tite over the Curt hitch, part # C13144 because does not require you to use stabilizing straps like part # 18050 for non-trailer loads as the Curt hitch requires. The Curt hitch does have the same towing capacity as the other hitches I mentioned.

Both of the mentioned hitches require no drilling for installation. The exhaust needs to be lowered or removed for installation and the heat shield must be trimmed.

If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If you need trailer wiring I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118467. This simply plugs into the connection points located in the rear cargo area on the drivers side as shown in the attached installation video.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.

Since you did not mention what you plan on using the hitch for I have attached some links to some products we offer that you can check out. If there are any questions about a specific item just let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
