Question:

Which one is better titan or Kodiak

Helpful Expert Reply:

Both of these manufacturers make excellent products and both products have received excellent customer reviews.

The main difference is that the Kodiac Disc Brake Kit and Titan BrakeRite Electric-Hydraulic Actuator, # T4843800, which you referenced, comes with an EOH actuator. The Kodiak kit # K2HR35D does not have a brake kit with actuator available.

For a comparable kit, you will need the following:
Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, # K2HR35D - Qty 2
Titan BrakeRite Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit, # T4843800- Qty 1
Titan Hydraulic Brake Lines and Fittings, # T4830000 - Qty 1

The Titan Disc Brake Assembly - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Dacromet - 7,000 lbs # THRCM13378DACEK is the Titan kit that fits. You will want to confirm your bearings are # 25580 for the inner and # 14125A for the outer. You will need to update your brake actuator to 1500 psi as well because drum brakes operated at a lower 1200 psi level that isn't compatible with disc brakes. Your hydraulic lines will be compatible, so you just need to upgrade the actuator. For a disc brake actuator I recommend the HydraStar # HBA16. If you want the entire system, I recommend the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - 7K # HSE7K-T1.
