Need Help Locating Brake Light Switch Wire in 2014 Jeep Cherokee for Brake Controller Install
Question:
Having issues locating a good spot for the cold brake wire? Am I able to run a wire from any of the tai lights? Or is there another spot besides directly above the brake light switch? I do not have the factory tow package.

Jeep typically used a dark green wire with a light green stripe for the brake light switch wire in the 2014 Cherokee. I recommend taking another look right behind the brake pedal arm to locate this wire. As long as this wire only has power when the brake pedal is pressed, you have found the correct wire.
Your Cherokee has a combined wiring system which means that the brake and turn signals are sent along the same wire so you would not be able to tap into the brake lights in order to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90195.
If your Jeep isn't currently equipped with trailer wiring, you will also need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118605, and Universal Installation Kit, # ETBC7. I have included a couple of help articles for you.
