Brake Controller and Install Recommendation for a 2015 Chevy Silverado

what is the difference between the part number 90195-3016 and the 90195 brake controller and which one can I use on both a 95 c1500 and a 2015 3500hdboth are Chevrolet trucks

The P3 brake controller is part # 90195. The # 3016 is an install harness that would make installing the brake controller very easy on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500.
For your 1995 truck you would have to hardwire the controller in.
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 18252.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
