Trailer Hitch and Light Weight Bike Carrier for a 2016 Toyota RAV4

Question:

I have a 2016 Toyota RAV4, im going to install curt trailer hitch class 3. Is there a video? I want to carry 2 bikes. I want a VERY light bike rack!

We do have a video showing installation of Curt trailer hitch # C13149 being installed on a 2015 Toyota RAV4 which will be basically identical to your 2016. I have linked it for you to view.

For a light weight bike carrier I recommend the Thule Helium Aero # TH9042PRO. This carrier weighs only 18-1/4 pounds. It is made of strong aluminum so it is not only light but also naturally resistant to corrosion. It comes with built-in anti-rattle/hitch lock and an integrated cable lock. If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
