Why Wouldn't Trailer Interior Lights Be Functioning When Connected to Chevy Truck

I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 which came with a tow package. I bought a 2015 Circle J horse trailer and all the other lights work fine but the interior lights in the bay and storage area.

Sounds like the 12 volt accessory circuit on your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 7-way isn't activated as that is the circuit that usually powers interior lights on a trailer. You can test this by testing the circuit in the 2:00 position of your 7:00 for voltage. If none is there then the problem is the circuit not being activated.

Since this circuit isn't always activated on Chevy trucks I am fairly confident you just need to complete the circuit under the hood of your truck. I attached a help article that details how this would be done.
