Trailer Breakaway System Recommendation

Question:

Hi, I am interested in purchasing a trailer brake emergency brake kit but not sure which one is best. I have a tandem axle horse trailer and will be purchasing your nev-r-adjust brakes. Which kit would be best? Also, When purchasing brakes, do I need to purchase new drums as well or will brakes only be sufficient? Thanks.

It sounds like you are looking for a trailer breakaway kit so that in the event of your trailer becoming disconnected the trailer brakes would apply and stop it.

All of the systems we carry would work well for you. The most popular one with the highest rating is the Hopkins kit part # 20099 that comes with a charger and way to view the condition of the battery.

This kit would work well with Never Adjust brakes as well.
