I have attached an article on installing brake controllers in 2007-2013 Chevy Silverados.
I have also attached an installation video of the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 on a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado.
In order to activate power to the brake controller, you will want to connect the ring terminal for the brake controller to the ring on the M6 stud. This ring terminal is located directly to the right of the power distribution box and taped to a wire harness between the driver-side fender and power distribution box. You will also want to install a 30-amp fuse into the number 63 fuse spot in the fuse box, according to the 2011 Silverado owner's manual.
In order to activate the 12-volt power lead post for the trailer connector, you will want to connect the ring terminal for the 12-vold lead to the M8 stud. this ring terminal is located to the left of the power distribution box and taped to a wire harness under the power brake booster. You will also want to install a 40-amp fuse in the number 68 fuse spot.
Most vehicles came equipped with these fuses, but you will want to check your fuse box. If you do not have these fuses, you will want to install them to gain power for your brake controller.
