Which Trailer Wiring Harness for 1999 Ford Explorer Sport
Question:
Will the Tow package wiring harness with 4 pole connector with factory tow connector code 118241 fit my ford explorer sport 2 door. I looked under the vehicle and my factory connector is on the right side. Not sure if this one will work, if not which one do I need. Thanks

In order for the # 118241 to work correctly, the plug under the vehicle that you located needs to be active. You can determine this by using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. Have a helper activate the taillight functions one by one as you test the pins of the plug under the vehicle. If the plug shows voltage as each taillight function is active, you can indeed use the # 118241.
If the plug isn't active, you'd use the # 118345.
