Recommended Brake Controller And Wiring For 2013 Toyota Highlander
Question:
I am interested in a Tekonsha P3 brake controller and the ETBC7 to convert from 4 to 7 pin. I have a brand new 2015 Toyota Highlander Hybrid with a towing package factory installed. Do you know if this is possible? Thanks,

You sure can install a brake controller on your Highlander.
The Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, part # 90195 is one of our most popular because it is easy to install and operate. I have attached a link to an installation video of a brake controller on a 2013 Highlander you can check out, which will be the same as your 2015. Since there is no port under the dash on your Highlander, you will need to hard wire the # 90195 when installing.
The installation video also shows how the part # ETBC7 is installed. to complete the # ETBC7 installation you will need part # 10-2-1 wire, and 10 gauge primary wire, part # 10-1-1. These are sold by the foot.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
