Item # C56331, for your 2013 Chrysler Town and Country contains a circuit board which is used as a relay for power from the vehicle battery to the trailer lights.

During testing, Curt found that the tail light circuits on the Town and Country could not handle the power draw from trailer lights so a powered module is required to safeguard the vehicle's wiring and support the trailer lights. With the module, power is drawn directly from the vehicle battery to reduce strain on the vehicle's wiring.
