Question:

I'll be carrying luggage (Duffle bags) on vacation and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We do not have a roof rack available for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder with no factory side rails. I checked with Yakima and Thule and Rhino Rack and there is no roof rack compatible with the roof.

If you are interested in carrying bikes or cargo let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.

To be able to carry the duffle bags on your 2014 Pathfinder, you have a couple options. First, for the most economical solution I recommend using a cargo bag that is designed to be able to work with a naked roof like part # RL100S30. This measures 48 inches long x 40 inches wide x 19 inches tall, with 18 cu ft of storage space. This cargo bag is waterproof so it is designed to keep your gear clean and dry. To attach the cargo bag to the roof of your Pathfinder I recommend the Car Clips for Rightline Rooftop Cargo Bags, part # RL100600. These attach to the straps on the cargo bag and attach to the door frames to hole the bag secure on your roof. I also recommend using part # RL100650. This is a non-skid roof protection pad that you can place between the roof of your Pathfinder and the cargo bag to help protect your vehicle finish. You will want to make sure you do not exceed the roof weight capacity of your roof. Another solution is to install a trailer hitch like part # 76031, and then use a cargo carrier in the hitch. This is a Class llll hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2014 pathfinder you can check out. The cargo carrier I recommend is the Curt Cargo Carrier For 2 Inch Hitches, part # C18153. This measures 24 inches x 60 inches and is 5-1/2 inches tall. This carrier fold up when not in use. Check out the attached installation video for this on a 2014 Pathfinder.
